Great win by Citations last night at Canterbury.

Pace was not on early and he was able to slot in to a good position from the widest barrier in the field.

He kept coming in the straight to catch the run away leader & favourite Global Domination, Gai Wterhouse trained. who ran third beaten 0.3. He won by 0.2 of a length over Dragon flyer, second, ridden by Blake Shinn.

A great effort & conbination by jockey, Sam Clipperton and Citations, when this was his first attempt at the 1550m distance. Citations paid the healthy odds of $15 for the win.

Unfortunately for the team of owners, Matt & Ames were the only representaives able to attend the meeting last night. As first time owners & now metropolitan winners, it was a great thrill (especially as the birthday celebrations were put on hold to attend the meeting). Our best wishes to Ray who was in hospital – but a good tonic, even if the nursing staff did not appreciate the noise from bed 20.

Congratulations to all of Citations owners – Mr G D Hickman, Mr P Gialantzis, Mr R J Coleman, Mr R G Powell, Mrs K B Powell, Mr M Brinckley, Mr R P Barwick, Mr B A Field, Mr J R Zeeman, Mr R Cutrie, Mr J Cutri, Mr S Cutri, Mr J Zammit, Mr M Aurisch, Mr P A Rolfe
