Justifier Wins At Warwick Farm

Justifier (3y, B filly, Catbird - Zannitch) was an impressive winner of the AJC Convention Centre Handicap over 1300m on the Warwick Farm track on the 14th July 2009.

Justifier jumped from barrier 10. App. Jockey T Berry then had to work his way through the field to get some clear running in the straight.  Justifier showed an exciting turn of foot and acceleration in the straight to win. Final placings were 1st Justifier, 2nd Adoranova and 3rd Hades.  The filly was able to win by the margin of 1 ¾ lengths with third placing 1 length away. A fantastic effort on a track rated heavy.

The filly came to the stable on the back foot, as an uneducated, unraced 2 year old. In her first preparation she won her maiden, first up, at Nowra and in this preparation she had run a couple of consecutive placing at the provincials. The filly had shown ability and it was exhilarating for the owners to get this their first city win.
